This painting was inspired by a slow weekend in the Sunshine Coast hinterland with my sister’s family and mine. Open pastures, feeding horses, too many donuts from Kenilworth Bakery, cheese from Maleny Cheese, and cool country air. A mini getaway — stepping out of routine and into open space.

It was a joy to paint. For me, it celebrates togetherness, small joys, and my love for Country.
